Creative Direction and Styling

As a creative director and stylist, I have the honor of working with some of the most talented and inspiring designers. One of my favorite collaborations to date has been with the sustainable fashion designer, Laurs Kemp, based in Portland, Oregon. She takes vintage clothing and reworks them into the most uniquely stunning, yet wearable pieces!

These photographs showcase an immensely talented team of artists from around the Portland area. The images were shot around Rowena Crest Trail out by Hood River, Oregon. As a director I have learned that nothing is as crucial as the people you partner with. When I am trying to articulate a vision it is important for me to work with other creatives that resonates with my inspiration, understands the vibe I am aiming for, and can execute professionally with excellence.

For this lookbook in particular I was really basing my inspiration on The Studio Ghibli film Howl’s Moving Castle. I was imagining the sweeping landscapes pictured in the secret garden and hoping to capture the feelings of whimsy that fill my imagination when I look at Kemp’s designs. I am obsessed with this red mesh dress look as seen above.

If you are a brand looking to publish a lookbook of your most recent collection I would love to hear from you. I am accepting new clients for creative direction and styling work and I am willing to travel to where you are for the shoot day.

Also, if you are an artist of any kind looking to elevate you branding in a way that truly shows who you are to future clients then I would love to help. I believe the imagery used on your websites and social profiles should not be just replicating what other professionals are putting out, but should be a glimpse into your heart.

The team that helped put together this entire lookbook included the incredible photographer Naba Zabih, the makeup artist and model Shantel Dix-Palmer, and hair stylist Jeleah .
